RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM

“THE CIRCUS ACE” Thrills and croloui’ful backgrounds, dramatic encounters on the sawdust, trail, hard-riding and fisticuffs galore are on tap at the Rialto and Regent Theatres, where Tom Mix in his latest Fox Films Western. “The Circus Ace,” is being shown. Few pictures made in recent years have afforded finer opportunities for gruelling action upon the part of the Western ace. Mix is involved in difficulties the moment lie rides into the vicinity of the circus, in Arizona, and he is kept under fire throughout the length of the picture. Tony plays havoc with a circus tent, while his flailing hoofs play an even merrier game with the unfortunate individuals who make the mistake of coming within range of the mettlesome steed. Natalie Joyce, a lovely Southern girl, is seen opposite the star. The cast includes Luke Lee, Jack Baston, James Bradbury, Ludley Smith Buster Gardner, Stanley Blystone and others. Ben Stoloff directed from a sc f.^ ky Jack Jungmeyer. Soft- Cushions,” starring Louglas Mac Lean, is the second attraction on the programme.

In additions to the usual attraction moviegoers can look forward to a feast of entertainment during Paramount s Greater Movie Season, which is scheduled for March. Such big productions, as “Chang,” “Shanghai Bound,”

“Now We’re in The Air,” and others will receive their New Zealand premiere during this season.
