NATIONAL AND LYRIC’
“HIGH SCHOOL HERO” Youth, sparkling vivacious and in all its glory has been captured in Fox Film’s comedy-drama, “High School Hero,” which is being shown at the National and Lyric Theatres. This picture of high school life is something very different from anything that has been brought to the screen before, inasmuch as every other type of youth has been shown excepting the high school student. The picture is crammed with humorous episodes from start to finish, and includes every form of student activity from athletics to study and graduation preparations. One exciting sequence is a realistic and hotly-contested game between rival basket-ball teams. Conflict centreing around a great recalmation project is the theme of “Tracked by the Police,” Rin-Tin-Tin’s latest starring picture also at the National and Lyric. Jason Robards, Virginian Brown Faire, Tom Santschi, Theodore Lorch, Nanette, Ben Walker and Wilfred North'are included in the cast. J. Farrell McDonald has been signed to play the Irish father in the Paramount picture, “Abie’s Irish Rose.” In this production Charles Rogers has j the role of Abie, and Nancy Carrol j plays the part of Rosemary.
