AUCKLAND’S AIRDROME
MINISTER INSPECTS SITE CAPTAIN ISiTT TO TAKE CHARGE The Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. J. Rolleston, who returned from Whangarei on Saturday, inspected the site of the proposed airdrome at Hobsonville this morning. As the Minister himself explained, little can be done toward establishing a flying base at Auck land till the return from England of Captain Isitt, who is due to land in New Zealand on February 28, and who is to be in charge of the proposed airdrome here. The Minister promises -that when Captain Isitt returns the whole question will be gone into, and report made upon the possibilities of the proposals. Mr. Rolleston is merely acquainting himself with the details of the locality while he is in Auckland. He goes South this evening.
