BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICES gOROUGH OF DEVONPORT. Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Devonport I Borough Council held on Wednesday, the Sth day of February, 1925, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday, the 22nd day of February, 1925, at 7.30 p.m. at the Council Chambers, Marine j Square, Devonport:— RESOLUTION. i 1. THAT the Devonport, Borough Cuun- * cil proceed to raise under the provisions of the Local Bodies Doans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and also under the powers contained in I “The Local Authorities Empowering ! (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926,” authorising the Council to borrow and in pursuance of all other Acts and powers (if :iny) enabling it in that behalf the special loan or twelve thousand pounds (£12,000 for the purpose of:— Permanent improvements at Queen’s Parade. 2. THAT such loan be called “The Devonport Borough Unemployment Relief Loan of £12,000, 1925.” 3. THAT the currency of the said IORn shall be for a period of not more than 36 years. 4. THAT the interest on the said loan shall be at a rate not exceeding Six Pounds per centum per annum. 5. THAT provision for repayment of the said loan shall be made by setting aside a sinking fund of not less thaai I one per centum per annum. 6. THAT the Council appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon a special rate of thirteen sixty-fourths (13-64ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Devonport. 7. THAT the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year of the said loan be paid out of the loan. Dated at Devonport this Sth day of February, 1928. Notice is hereby given that the Devonport Borough Council proposes at its meeting to be held on the 22nd day of February, 1928, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £12,000 for the purposes of Permanent Improvements at Queen’s Parade. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Devonport Borough Council not later than the day preceding the Laid meeting.
