POOLTA LEAVES NEWCASTLE. Cabled news received by the Union Company reports that the Poolta cleared Newcastle on Wednesday afternoon for Picton and Napier. MAM ILI US AT BLUFF.—Due at Bluff this morning- from Lyttelton, the Shaw. Savill and Albion steamer Mamilius later proceeds to Port Chalmers, where she completes loading and finally sails on February 21 for London via Panama. MAH IA AT LONDON.—Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, S&vill and Albion Company that the Mahia arrived at London on Tuesday evening from Port Chalmers. The vessel left the Otago port on December 24 for London, via Punta Arenas and Montevideo. MATAROA ARRIVES NEXT FRIDAY. —A wireless message was received on Thursday by the Shaw. Savfll and Albion Company from their liner, Mataroa. en route from London and Southampton, stating that the vessel is expected to arrive at Wellington next Friday at noon. She is due here on February 24. THE KARETU. —The Union Company advises that the Karetu left Melbourne yesterday for Adelaide, Edithburg and Wallaroo. She will return to Melbourne to fill up. She is to leave Melbourne finally on February 21 for Auckland, Portland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. DEVON AT COLON.—The Federal Line steamer Devon is reported to have reached Colon last Thursday en route from Antwerp to Auckland. The vessel has about 6,000 tons of basic slag, all for discharge at this port, to the agencyof the New Zealand Shipping Company. PORT CAROLINE AT WELLINGTON The C. and D. Line advises that the Port Caroline which arrived at Wellington yesterday from New Plymouth, leaves again on Tuesday for Wanganui, where she completes her loading and finally departs on February 18 for London via Panama. TAINUI COMPLETING. —Now at Wellington completing her loading for Home, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the departure of the liner Tainui has been fixed for 6 a.m. on Wednesday next, February 15, when she will clear Wellington for Southampton and London via Panama. CARGO FROM HALIFAX. —The Canadian Government Agency advise that the Canadian Transporter, in place of the Canadian Seigneur," will leave Halifax on March 24 for New Zealand ports. The vessel will be followed, on April 25, by the Canadian Challenger, in place of the Canadian Prospector. WESTMORELAND LEAVES PANAMA. —Cabled news has been received by . the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Federal steamer Westmoreland arrived at Panama on February 6 from Liverpool, and sailed again on February 7 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. The vessel is due at Auckland on March 2. ! NDIANOLA’S MOVEMENTS.—Henderson and Macfarlane advises that the tramp steamer Indianola is now expected to leave Auckland next Wednesday for Lyttelton, where she completes her discharge of Morocco phosphates. From the Canterbury port the vessel proceeds to Westport for bunkers, thence Makatea Island to load for Australia. PORT MELBOURNE SAILING.—At noon to-day the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company hoped to dispatch the C. D. Line’s steamer Port Melbourne from Auckland for New Plymouth, thence Wellington, and Lyttelton, to complete her loading for Home. The vessel is expected to clear the Canterbury port finally on February 22 for London via Panama.

NORTHUMBERLAND LOADING. The Northumberland arrived at Wellington on Thursday morning from Napier, to proceed with her loading. The vessel will leave Wellington on Monday for Napier to fill up, and she is to sail finally from that port on Wednesday for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool.

PORT HUNTER FROM LIVERPOOL. —Heather, Roberton,* Ltd., advises that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Hunter is scheduled to arrive next Thursday from Liverpool. The vessel has general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. NEW SCHOONER TOA.-The Northern Company’s new auxiliary schooner Toa, which was built at Freeman’s Bay by Mr. G. Niccol, is being commissioned and is to commence running next week in the Bay of Plenty cargo service. She is to sail at four o’clock on Monday afternoon for Whakatane. The Toa is practically the same as the company’s auxiliary schooner Otimai. The Otimai is 207 tons gross and 111 tons nett. The Toa is 209 tons gross and 110 tons nett. WARSHIPS FOR SURVEY WORK.— The warships Veronica, Laburnum and Wakakura are to leave Auckland this evening for the Eas.t Coast to search for the rock which the Northumberland struck in the vicinity of Gable End Foreland and Gisborne. The work is expected to be completed within a week. Afterward the Wakakura will return to Auckland. The Veronica and Laburnum will proceed on a cruise to Southern ports, and they are scheduled to return to Auckland on April 27. J?
