QUAKE SHOCK FELT
THOUSANDS AWAKENED TIDAL WAVES REPORTED By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. OTTAWA, Thursday. Vancouver Island was shaken by an earthquake at 4 a.m. to-day. The shock was accompanied by a rumble which awakened thousands of people. The earthquake was most severe at the Bamfield cable station, where fishermen reported that two tidal waves had been caused.—Sun. _
