A SURPRISE GAME
To play this game the children gather in a close circle while on stands in the centre to “tell the tale.” He makes up any kind of story, but, as soon as he says “and then they all crashed,” the players must run to a seat before they are caught. The one who is caught must “tell the tale” next time. This is a jolly way to spend odd half-hours in the playground or garden.
