PERSONAL NOTES

Mr. F. J. Stephens, one of our oldest bantam fanciers has had an exceptionally good breeding season. He has a grand lot of birds to choose from for the coming show season. Mr. Stephens believes in variety, and breeds Black Rosecombs, Blacktailed White Japanese, Sebrights and Black-Red and Rile Modern Game. The Sebrights are beautifully laced, whereas the Game show promise of merit. Fanciers will regret to hear that Mrs. Moore, wife of Mr. W. Moore, the popular secretary of the Auckland Yorkshire Canary Club, is seriously ill in hospital, having undergone an operation. All fanciers will join us in wishing Mrs. Moore a speedy recovery. Mr. Roy Hanson, Epsom, has a fine lot of Black Pekins and Modern Game Bantams, all bred from his champions. The Pekins have wonderful foot featherings, and the Modern Game have great reach, style, and limb, with tight feathering.
