COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
A charming birthday party wa ® at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Jackson, Wood Street, Papakura, on Thursday evening to celebrate tne coming of age of Mr. Claude Naden. The lawn was beautifully illuminated with coloured lights and Chinese lanterns, and a network of gay streamers added to its appearance. A very dainty supper was served on the lawn, and the usual toasts honoured. Musical and elocutionary items were given by Miss Ethel Turner, Miss H. O’Connell, Miss O. Stewart and Mr. Searelle. Dancing continued on the lawn iO a late hour, P. Hardman’s orchestra providing delightful music. Mrs. C. W. Jackson received her guests wearing a frock of new blue crepe de chine, inset with silver lace. Among those present were: Mrs. Cooper, Sydney, wearing a black georgette frock. Mrs. Monks, In a frock of floral chiffon and matching shawl. Mrs. Fett, crystal beaded black ninon frock. „ _ _ Mrs. Lacassie, frock of flower patterned organdie. , . . Mrs. C. Jephson, floral frock of silk voile. __ Mrs. F. Lacassie, ivory organdie frock. Miss Pemberton, frock of Sahara georgette. Miss W. Milne, patterned frock of French voile. Mrs. Macadan, flower-patterned frock or georgette. . , * Miss A. McLennan, rose-pink frock of satin and ecru lace. Miss L. Turner, iris-mauve frock of crepe de chine, inset with silver lace. Miss L Turner,, ivory crepe de chine frock with silver lace trimming. Miss Mavis Clarke, petunia pink crepe de chine frock. Miss K. Brooks, peacock blue crepe de chine and chiffon. Miss I.
