SALVATION ARMY

BRIGADIER PROMOTED After 12 years in charge of “The Grange,” the Salvation Army orphanage. Herne Bay. Brigadier Koi has been appointed secretary for the women’s social work of New Zealand. She will leave Auckland on February 24, to take up her residence in Wellington. By residing in Wellington Brigadier Roi will have greater control over the women's social institutions in both the North and South Islands. The Brigadier has been very popular among her fellows, and although regret has been expressed at her impending departure, gratification is felt at her appointment to the new position. She will be succeeded by Commandant Christina Montgomery, who has had long experience in orphanage work.
