REDUCTION IN ENGLAND POOR LAW RELIEF British Wireless—Press Assn.—Copyright Reed. 9.5 a.m. RUGBY, Thurs. A further reduction of 19,850 in the number of persons unemployed in Britain is recorded in the latest weekly return of the Ministry of Labour. Official returns show that the number of persons in England and Wales in November, 1927, who were receiving Poor Law relief in their own homes was 951,500, compared with 366,787 in 1913.
