THE IKALA.—The New Zealand Ship-; ping Company have been advised by j cablegram that the Ikala arrived at' Hampton Roads on Saturday from St. | John, en route to New Zealand and Aus- J tralian ports. PORT HARDY AT LONDON. —Cabled news has been received by the C. and D. Line that the Port Hardy arrived at London on Sunday from Auckland, via New York, Boston, and Halifax. The vessel left Auckland on December 16. GALLIC SAiLS. —A departure from Auckland early this morr.ing was the Shaw. Savill, and Albion steamer Gallic, bound for New York. Halifax. Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow, via Panama. NORTHUMBERLAND AT WELLINGTON. —To complete her loading the Federal steamer Northumberland arrived at Wellington this morning from Napier. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel about Sunday for London and west of England ports via Panama. MELBOURNE.—CabIe advice received by tfce Union Company states that the passenger steamer Manuka left Melbourne yesterday for Bluff, Dunedin. Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due at Bluff on Monday and at Wellington on February 17. TAINUI TO COMPLETE.—The Shaw, Savill. and Albion Company advLses that the liner Tainui leaves Picton at daybreak to-morrow for MTellington, whi-re she completes her loading, and finally departs at 6 a.m. on Wednesday. February 15, for Southampton and London, via Panama. NIAGARA LEAVES VANCOUVER.— According to cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company, the R.M.S. Niagara left Vancouver at noon yesterday for Sydney, via ports. She is due here on Monday, February 27, and sails the following day for Sydney. CARGO FROM HALIFAX. —Cable advice received by the Canadian Government Line states that the steamer Canadian Highlander sailed from Halifax on January 25 with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton. Timaru and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland about March 3. WEST NIVARIA COMlNG.—Henderson and Macfarlane have been advised by cablegram that the American steamer West Nivaria sailed from Los Angeles last Monday with Pacific Coast cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. The vessel is due at Auckland about March 2. AORANGI DUE SUNDAY.—The local office of the Union Company advises that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi, which leaves Sydney this afternoon for Auckland, is expected to arrive here on Sunday. In the meantime, the vessel is announced to leave Auckland at 3 p.m. next Tuesday for Suva, Honolulu, Victoria, and Vancouver. WAIPAHI ARRIVES. —The Union Company’s fruit steamer Waipahi arrived at Auckland last evening from Suva, and berthed at the King’s Wharf. The vessel is to leave here at ten o’clock this evening for Newcastle, thence Sydney, where she loads for Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa . The Waipahi is to clear Suva on March 1 again for Auckland. ROTORUA LEAVES PANAMA.—The New Zealand Shipping Company have been notified Dy cablegram that their liner Rotorua arrived at Colon on Saturday last from London and Southampton, and left Panama on Sunday for Wellington and Auckland. The vessel is due at Wellington on February 25, ar.d at Auckland a week later. MATAROA REPORTS. —Radio advice received by L. D. Nathan and Company states that the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mataroa, en route from London and Southampton to Wellington and Auckland, is expected to arrive at Wellington on Wednesday next, February 15. The vessel is due at Auckland on February 23. RUAPEHU AT COLON.—News by cablegram has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that their liner Ruapehu arrived at Colon on Saturday last from London and Southampton. The vessel due at Wellington on February 28, solely for tho purpose of landing passengers She will discharge her cargo at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and New Plymouth. PORT MELBOURNE iN PORT.—An arrival in port early this morning vas the C. and D. Line’s steamer I’ort Melbourne from Gisborne. The vessel was berthed at the Queen's Wharf to continue her loading under the auspices of the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company. She leaves Auckland on Saturday for New Plymouth, thence Wellington and Lyttelton to complete her loading, and sails finally from the latter port on February 22 for London, via Panama. ARAWA TO LOAD.—The Shaw, Savill. and Albion Company advises that their liner Arawa arrived at Dunedin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday from Lyttelton to complete discharge of her Liverpool cargo, and to commence loading for London. The vessel will afterwards gc to Port Chalmers, and is to leave that port on Saturday to load at Lyttelton, Bluff, Timaru, Napier, Waikokopu, and 'Wellington. Th Arawa is due at Wellingfon on February 28, and is to sail finally from there at 6 a.m. on March 2 for Southampton and London, via Panama. PASSENGERS ON CATHAY.—Russell and Somers, Ltd., have received advice that the following passengers for New Zealand are travelling by the P. and O. liner Cathay, which is due at Sydney from London to-day: Booked through to Auckland by the Aorangi, leaving Syd-to-day—Mr. Bond; booked through to Auckland by the Maunganui, leaving Sydney to-morrow—-Mrs. Venner, Miss French, Miss Davis, Miss Maunsell, Mr. Maunsell; booked through to Auckland by the Ulimaroa, leaving Sydney on February 17, Mr. Bowden; booked through to Wellington by the Marama, leaving Sydney to-morrow—Mr. and Miss Firth, Mr. and Mrs. Rautiev, Mrs. Brewer; booked through to Wellington— Mr. Cameron Waller. ,_,?^n^ D,AN . CHALLENGER FROM HALIFAX.—With general cargo from Halifax and Sydney (Cape Breton), the Canadian Government steamer Canadian Challenger arrived at Auckland vesterday, and is now berthed at the Prince’s Wharf. The vessel sailed from Halifax on December 27, and experienced a fair weather voyage to Auckland. Captain O. W. Williams is in command, and associated with him are the following c-ffi-cers: Chief, Mr. L. G. Wentzell, second, Mr. C. F. Himmelman; third, Mr. 11. Turner; chief engineer, Mr. J.
