These figures show a 5J per cent, increase as compared with Januory, 1927, and an increase for the season to January 31 of 21 per '*Though the seasonal increase at December 31 showed 25 per cent:, this was reduced to 21 per cent, by the end of January, because of the exceptionally dry weather that is prevailing.
