SHOW TO LAPSE

TJECAUSE of the continued dry weather resulting in a scarcity of vegetables and flowers, the Waiuku Horticultural Society decided last rwght that the Autumn Show usually held in the month of lyiarch, should lapse for this year. Although rain has recently fallen in districts fairly close, Waiuku has not been fortunate enough to share in it. The position is getting serious, and many of the residents are carting supplies from neighbours with good wells.
