BRITANNIA

“WORLD AT HER FEET” Given two young married couples, one husband being too busy, being a successful doctor, to devote time to his wife, and one wife too busy, being a successful lawyer, to devote time to her husband. Then have the neglected pair meet as the principals in a thrilling traffic accident at a busy corner. These are the ingredients of as delightful a screen comedy as has ever been shown in Auckland; the Florence Vidor starring vehicle, “The World at Her Feet,” which will be shown at the Britannia Theatre to-night.. Miss Vidor, in all her biunette loveliness, as first the efficient attorney, and next the chaining wife, using her law-sharpened wits to win back her mate, gives one of the finest performances of her career. She brings to the role a sympathy of treatment, a knowledge of the requirements of farce comedy, and a stately grace that are enchanting. Margaret Quimby, William Austin and Richard Tucker in the supporting cast, are ideal. “The Texas Trail,” starring Harry Carey, will also be screened to-night.
