VERDICT FROM JURY BOX The trial of John Charles Kemp- - thome, a seaman, on charges of attempted carnal knowledge and ! indecent assault was commenced be- | fore Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme 1 Court this morning. In summing up his Honour said ;t ! would be useless to suggest, after evidence, that it was sufficient to convict the accused. The evidence of the child had been uncorroborated. A verdict of not guilty was returned from the box.
