Temperature in shade yesterday: Maximum, 78 degrees; minimum, 63 degrees; maximum temperature in sun. 141 degreet. Bright sunshine yesterday, 9hr 45min. Minimum temperature on grass, 61 degrees. * Direction of wind at 10 a.m., south. Velocity of wind previous 24 hours, 112 miles. Rainfall during previous 24 hours, nil. Rainfall to date this month, .05in. Average for February, 3.03 inches. * NORTH ISLAND CONDITIONS Observations taken at 10 a.m.:—
