Robert Frazer is equally deserving of praise for his successful efforts in a difficult part. Mitchell Lewis, whom we have long known as a deep-dyed villain, plays a sympathetic role in this picture and does astoundingly well, proving that a good actor can essay any type of characterisation. Walter Long glowers and plots well as the unscrupulous ship captain. James Oliver Curwood has served up a story which is an intensely dramatic tale of the snow country, whirlwind in action and rousing in emotional power.
