STRANDED BLACKFISH AT DAVIS BAY.—A large shoal of blackfish ranging from six to 20 feet in length floundered ashore last evening on a high tide in Davis Bay, Whangarei Harbour. Over 40 of these fish threshed the water of the quiet cove in their efforts to regain deep water.
