INCREASE IN BUS FARES

NOT APPROVED BY ROAD BOARD An increase in the bus fares to St. Heliers is not approved by the Tamaki Road Board. At the last meeting of the board reference was made to the meeting of the No. 1 Licensing Authority at which Mr. G. Baildon was reported to have said that the Road Board was supporting the application of L. J. Keys to increase fares on the St. lieiiers-Kohimarama service. The board passed the following resolution: "That a letter be sent to No. I Licensing Authority objecting to the increase in fares being granted to L. J. Keys and that letters be sent to the Press pointing out that the report circulated was not correct.”
