MANGERE SCHOOLS’ ANNUAL SPORTS
COMBINED MEETING HELD (From Our Own Correspondent J MANGERE, Friday. The Mangere Central and Mangere Bridge Public Schools held their annual combined sports meeting at the Mangere Domain on Thursday, when a good day’s outing was enjoyed by the scholars, and the large number of parents and friends who were present. The School Committee had the arrangements of the meeting well in hand, and everything went off without a hitch of any kind. The following are the results of the main events: Soys’ Race (from 7 to 8). —P. Kneebone, 1; C. Rickard, 2; D. Crapp, 3. Boys’ Race (9.10).—8. Cave, 1; J. Hoareson, 2: S. Rennie, 3. Boys’ Race (11-12). —Jones, 1: GoodBoys’ Race (13 and 1; J. Brown, 2; K. O’Brien, 3. Relay Race. —Mangere Bridge team. High Jump.—Aldred, 4ft 4in, 1; Newby, 2; Rennie, 3. . _ , , Steeplechase. —J.
