A message from Richmond, Virginia, ms the old feud between Mr. Al. smith and Mr. W. G. McAdoo, which rtsulted in the frustration of the Democratic Party’s efforts in tit* presidtntial campaign of 1924, was revived THterday when Mr. McAdoo delivered t speech, which was a considered attack upon Mr. Smith’s anti-prohibition tiewe. Mr. McAdoo said that to expect the ratorcement of prohibition from a President who was hostile to prohibition was “upon its face an absurdity.” He said he was strongly opposed to the election of any candidates who did not favour prohibition.—A. and X.Z.
