FATAL CARELESSNESS

FOUR PEOPLE POISONED By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. BRISBANE, Thursday. It has been established that the tragedy at Torrens Creek, in which four people lost their lives by poisoning, was caused by the careless use of a mixture of arsenic and caustic soda, which had been made to eradicate white ants. It is believed the utensils used in the preparation of the mixture were used to take drinking water from open tanks, which were thus polluted.—A. and N.Z.
