Transport, Sir John Pringle, has sent his report to the Minister, Sir W. W. Ashley, on the railway disaster at Sevenoaks, Kent, on August 24, when a Southern Railway express train was wrecked and 12 people killed and 48 injured. Sir John finds that the condition of the road in respect of foundation and maintenance was the initial cause of the rolling motion of the engine, which caused the derailment. —A. and N.Z.Sun.
