BENEFIT CONCERT

FOR WIDOW AND FAMILY JACKSON’S ENTERTAINERS HELP A successful benefit concert was ?iven in the Town Hall concert chamber last evenin, as a benefit for Mrs. Owen Jones and three children. The husband and father was drowned while fishing a few months ago. Jackson’s Entertainers, those bright amateur performers, and leading artists from the city gave an excellent show for the deserving cause, and there was a large attendance. All performers gave their services free. Mr. A. Mackenzie, secretary of the Fish Curers’ Union, was the organiser.
