SERVICE TO LIBERALISM “GAZETTE” AND “DAILY NEWS” By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Wednesday. A joint statement issued on behalf of the Daily News and the Westminster Gazette announces the fusion of the two newspapers on the ground that the fusion will better serve Liberalism than does their separate publication. A small private company has been formed to take over the copyright and goodwill of both papers. The new board includes Mr. Henry Cadbury, as chairman, and Viscount Cowdray, vicechairman. The joint paper will be published from the Daily News office. — A. and N.Z.-Sun.
