WAIHEKE RESIDENTS PROTttf A great scarcity of fish around Wai* heke has oeen experienced by residents of the island and a meeting was held at Ostend under the auspices the Ostend Road Board to against trawlers and seine net boats operating in the Hr-uraki Gulf. A resolution urging the Government to extend the time for the excluswa ; of such boats from the present pro* ! hibited area, was passed. It *** also decided to urge the Governmeat to pass legislation to extend the limna of the existing prohibited area.
