MANUREWA BOWLING GREEN

IMPROVED CONDITION As the result of the successful tapping- of a prolific water supply last week, the Manurewa bowling green is already presenting a very much improved appearance. On the portion of the green which has been soaked the cracks are gradually disappearing, and a green swarth is covering the previously parched area. At the present time, 1,000 gallons of water are being pumped hourly, and up to date 50,000 gallons have been put on the green, and about one-third of the area has been treated. It is intended to increase the pumping capacity, and 3,000 gallons an hour is confidently expected. —— —
