LICENCE REFUSED In reporting the result of the application by \\. E. Parkinson to the No 1 Licensing Authority for a licence to run a bus service from the city to 5V aikowhai, Mr. L. A. Tozer. who represented the Mount Roskill Road Board at the hearing of the application, stated at last night s meeting that it had no chance from the start. "The members of the Licensing Authority,” said Mr ,\. OZ . e *V' cannot set 11 out o£ their heads that they are the City Council. They i?° k a , t , evpr y application from a City council viewpoint, consequently it could not be expected that the applicabon would be approved.” ~ adopted Star Chamber methods, he continued, “by ordering applicants and everybody else out of room, but application is now being to have Parkinson’s case reby the Appeal Board.”
