RAIDERS PUNISHED By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Monday. The Basra correspondent of “The Times” states that a Wahabi force of 300 camel riders and 100 horsemen raided Koweit, at the head of the Persian Gulf, south of Basra, slaughtered many tribesmen and seized camels and cattle. The authorities hurriedly despatched a punitive force of 30 armed cars and 100 cavalry, and also camelry, which overtook the raiders. A fierce battle ensued at Rukkai. The wounded included three Wahabi sheiks. The Koweit forces were victorious and recovered their loot. — Times.
