SAVED FROM DROWNING

RESCUE AT GREEN BAY Carried out of his depth as he was bathing at Green Bay, near Titirangi, yesterday, a boy of eight was rescued as he was sinking for the third time, and revived only with great difficulty. The boy is a son of Mr. Richard Humphrey, of New Lynn. He drifted from the shore with a slight current, and, seeing his plight, Mr. J. S. Sokolich, of New Lynn, dived from a boat and dragged him ashore. Two members of the St. John Ambulance, Messrs H. Turner and A. Buchanan, were on the beach, and, assisted by a former nurse, Mrs. C.
