SATURDAY’S RESULTS The City and Suburbs Rifle Club fired the second round for the service championship on Saturday. Weather conditions were perfect and the standard of shooting was very high. Clark shot brilliantly at 200yds and established too big a lead for the rest of the competitors to catch up, although both Griffiths and Howard made splendid efforts at 300 Clark and Griffiths won a spoon each. A new series will be commenced at 500yds and 600yds next Saturday AKARANA CLUB Members of the Akarana Rifle Club competed under strict service conditions at Penrose Rifle Range on Saturday afternoon. Conditions were:—At 25yds five rounds grouping; at 200yds (a) five rounds application, (b) five rounds snap shooting, and (c) ten rounds rapid; 309 yds, five rounds application.
