MASTER OF THE CEREMONIES
A Mayfair betrothal that holds a specially romantic interest is that of the Hon. Grace Stanley to Mr. Edward Barford, M.C., whom she met at her sister’s wedding, when she was chief bridesmaid and the M.C. was the best man. Cupid was the other sort of M.C. on that occasion, and arranged that the young couple should fall in love at first sight. By the time the .ring was on the bride’s finger, her charming “maid” was blushing on her own account, and Hymen was heralding another romance. LADY-IN-WAITING Lady Katherine Hamilton, who has been appointed Lady-in-Waiting to the Queen, is the youngest daughter of the Duke of Abercorn, and, being only 27, is the youngest Lady-in-Waiting that the Queen has ever appointed. At one time Lady Katherine studied political economy and has also acted in a secretarial capacity.
