LAUNCHED BY MRS. BALDWIN British Wireless—Press Assn.—Copyright RUGBY, Tuesday. The new Canadian Pacific steamer, Duchess of Bedford, for, service between Liverpool and the St. Lawrence was launched to-day by Mrs. Stanley Baldwin. The Prime Minister was present and at a subsequent luncheon he referred to the immense part played by the Canadian-Pacific Railway in the development of Canada. To it they owed the union and federation of Canada from east to west, he said.— A. and N.Z.
