BRIDE-ELECT HONOURED
KITCHEN EVENING At “Tresco,” her home in Symonds I Street, Dr. Woodward Horsley gave a delightful little kitchen evening yesterday. in honour of Miss Joyce Fletcher, who is to be married early in February. The rooms were attractively decorated with palms and flowers, and the guests were received by Dr. Horsley, who wore a frock of simply-fashioned black georgette Miss Joyce Fletcher wore a beige lace frock, mounted on a foundation of apricot crepe de chine. Mrs. Fletcher was in a pretty mauve - coloured frock of crepe de chine. During the evening competitions; and games were played, and several enjoyable items were given by the guests, among whom were: Miss Young, who wore a frock of navy tnr'o crepe 4e shine, with a vivid sho:-.1-der der posy. . • Miss Walker, wearing a frock of Xile peen crepe de chine, inset with silver lace. M:iss M. Monkley, in a frock of black satin faconne. Miss Ritchie, whose frock was of geraniu in rose satin crepe. Miss Johnson, wearing a mignonette -1 green satin frock, panelled with gold lace. Miss Leatham, in a frock of royal blue brocade .and ecru lace. Miss Tryson, who wore a frock of iris mauve and grey georgette. Miss Fleming, wearing a frock of lavender satin inset with silver lace. Miss Ay ton, who wore a figured frock of wistaria mauve . crfpe de chine. Miss Stanley, who chose a cyclamentoned crepe de chine frock, relieved with beige lace. Miss H. Monkley, in a frock of saxe blue brocaded crepe de chine.
