MOTORISTS RETURNING
Hundreds of motorists who have been spending their holiday on the road have now returned home, after one of the best holiday seasons experienced for many years. Full advantage was taken of the fine spell by motorists, all the well-known resorts being crowded with parties who arrived by car to spend a day or two and then move on again. Although all arrangements to report bad roads were made by the service officer of the A.A.A., nobody really required it—even the clay roads being passable without chains. The traffic on the Great South Road was greater than it has ever been, and cars of all descriptions—large and small, British and American —were to be seen all day long, laden with luggage and camping gear, the occupants being more or less crowded to make room for it, but everybody was happy.
