TROWERN WINS 14-ROUND CONTEST By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, Sunday. In a boxing match yesterday evening, Reg. Trowem. lOst. 3ilb., of New Zealand, defeated Joe Barnes, 9st. 9ilb., in a 14-rounds contest. Trowem forced the pace and won 12 rounds decisively. He knocked Barnes down for a count of eight in the fourth round. The towel was thrown in after Barr.es was sent down in the 14th round. Trowern created a good impression.—A. and N.Z.
