A BOY, A MATCH AND A PETROL DRUM

UNHAPPY TEST Press Association. WESTPORT, To-day. Through a petrol drum exploding a youth named William Lowe, of Sergeant’s Hill, received severe injuries to a leg and was removed to the hospital. The petrol drum had had water passing through it for two days at the time of the accident. The brother of the injured boy was sitting on the top of the drum and struck a match and passed it over the bung-hole. The explosion blew ouL the end of the drum and young Lowe received its full force. He will probably lose his leg.
