The supporters of the Wed nesdav movement neglected to lodre a counter-petition, and are now talw of having a poll taken' before the m etting of the statutory half holidTv The Wednesdayites maintain thit more busines will come to Thames if Wednesday is the half day when the bridge connecting the Hauraki Plain, and Thames is opened about the end of March. If the midweek support i, large enough the movers will petition for a poll.
