Waratahs in France PEOPLE AMUSED By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 9.5 a.m. PARIS, Friday. The New South Wales Rugby players visited the Somme battlefields. At a reception given by the French Rughy > Association, the manager, Mr. Shajv, said he hoped the French people would approve of the Waratahs’ play on the field as they had approved the Australian soldiers’ fighting in the war time. The members of the team attended a revue at Moulin Rouge in the evening, where Billy and Dolly, former Tivoli stars, were appearing. The audience was surprised and amused at the “Cooees” which were exchanged on bpth sides of the footlights.—A. and N.Z.
