POPULAR DRIVER BHC A romantic career in the old coosfrf ing days was ended yesterday iri&i the death of Mr. Henry Kerr, of Bspick. He had been in for some and died after an operation. i Born at Howick 71 years age, lb. I Kerr was in his youth one of y best known coachdrivers in the Rotorua district. For a time he drove the mail coach between Hamilton and *■ Cambridge. He drove the first coacti from Tirau to Rotorua, and wm ion run when the Tarawera eruption of 1886 occurred. During the latter part of W* We .* he kept the Masonic Hall and Central Hotel at Cambridge, and Inter at Warkworth. Deceased retired to Howick 14 years ago. He is survived by his widow and his daughter, M«. L. McNeish, of Howick. t ■
