AIRPLANE ACCIDENT

ENGINE STALLS CAPT. FINDLAY SCRATCHED Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH,’ To-day. The stalling of an airplane engine caused a slight accideiif at the Sockburn Airdrome this morning. Captain Findlay was flying in an Avro instructional machine and his pupil was Cadet Jenkins. The engine failed,' and a hedge looming up in front, it was necessary to make a forced landing to avoid a more serious accident. Captain Findlay suffered a slight cut over one eye and Jenkins was uninjured. The undercarriage of the machine was slightly damaged.
