ADOLPHE MENJOU
TO MARRY PROTEGEE Adolphe Menjou will marry his film protegee, Kathryne Carver, on June 1. according to an announcement made by the parties'. Both have been previously married. Mr. Menjou’s marriage having been dissolved, while that of Miss Carver to Mr. Ira Hill, a New York photographer, was dissolved last June. Mr. Menjou, who is French by birth, went to the United States at an early age and became an actor for the films after some years with theatrical companies. He is the creator of a new type of film lover —not too young, blase, and slightly cynical. Some time ago Mr. Menjou said he was making £. 1,000 a week and that he would retire aft the end of two years.
