JEWEL POINTER FOR HASTINGS AWN E R M. MOODABE and trainer J. Shaw, after fully considering the request of the Hawke’s Bay Trotting Club to give an exhibition of pacing at the fixture on Saturday next with Jewel Pointer, have decided to send the horse to Hastings for that purpose. The Auckland crack will leave cn Wednesday for the Bay, accompanied by the Australian trotter Leo Mauritius, who is engaged in the square-gaited events at the meeting.
