INTER-HOUSE CRICKET

FRIAR RICHARDS V. McMILLAN AND CO. Friar Richards had first use of the wicket, making a moderate total of SI runs. The best performances were those of Bainbridge (36 not out) and Purdon (17). The bowling honours were equally divided between Harper (3 wickets), Innes (3) and McMillan (3). McMillans opened shakily, but the scoring livened up after the first three wickets had fallen. Missed catches spoilt the chance of dismissing them before reaching their opponents’ total. The chief scorers were: Trask 23, Harper 22, Willis 10. Innes 17. The wickets fell to Gaw three, Purdon three, Bainbridge two, and Hansen two. McMillans won a very interesting game by 27 runs.
