DRY SPELL ON WEST COAST
NO DAMAGE FROM BUSH FIRES Press Association. GREYMOUTH, Thursday. The West Coast is experiencing a prolonged dry spell. Only an inch and a-half of rain has fallen during the past five weeks. Bush fires are general, but no serious damage has resulted- The rivers generally are exceptionally low. Forest service officers have been called upon to protect the plantation in the vicinity of the Ross road.
