A PROVED PRODUCER
TT is no wonder that breeders rn the Waikato' have formed a very high opinion of the young sire Metal. The son of Don Pronto appeals to all good judges; on his handsome appearance alone, but it is his remarkable first-year «record at the stud that attracts greater attention, particularly among those who are keenly interested in the breeding business. While located the Ngaruawahia during the 1926-27 season, Metal’s services were secured for 43 mares And his ability as a foal-getter is reflected in the .fact that 40 of the mares produced foals. A further tribute to his productive ability is shown by the fact that of the 40 foals obtained 35 are colts. The Australian-bred young aristocrat has just concluded another splendid season in the Waikato, while the demand for his services next season are already being made with unsolicited freedom. Metal next year wlll probably do duty in Auckland, and by that time his stock will be showing up to such an extent that he will be in big demand with local breeders.
