good day’s recreation for the residents and visitors from various parts of. the province, and it is to be hoped their efforts in this direction will meet with the success so richly deserved. Time will no doubt see the progressive club rewarded in greater measure, as through the constant success of the pleasant annual carnival a “tote” permit will one day be launched on the club. CLASS WELL REPRESENTED That the racing to be submitted tomorrow will prove interesting is assured by the fact that such well known apd well performed gallopers as Day Guard, Muscari, Macroom, Rarangi, Star Comet. Captain Cobham and Abbess are taking part. The trotting section—one of the popular features of the good card—is also well represented and the meeting of such good and proved ones as Rock Hinton, Lackiewood, Beauty Spot, Boston Chimes and Paradigm., with promising novices like Lady Linda, Red Raven, Lady Lucetta and others, will be followed with interest. The officials of the club have made complete arrangements for the successful carrying out of the function, and given fine weather an excellent day’s sport should be provided.
