FORMATION MOOTED By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Thursday. The proceedings at the annual meeting of the National Farmers’ Union indicated a possible development on lines similar to those in Australia, by the creation of a separate political Farmers’ Party. The union decided to instruct its council seriously to consider selecting and supporting independent agricultural candidates at the general election, and ordered the preparation of a concise policy statement for a propaganda campaign. It was stated that the union already had £11.500 as tli«* nucleus of a political fund.—A. and N.Z.
