SUMMER SCHOOL

A NATIONAL INSTITUTION Press Association . ' KELSON, To-day. A general meeting of students attending the teachers’/ summer school decided, by an overwhelming majority, to continue as a national as against a district school, and Oamaru was chosen as the place for the next year’s school. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. F. Milner (re-elected); vice-president, Mr. Spencely Walker; National Executive, Miss J. Hume, Messrs. G. H. Stubbs, Duncan Rae and H. G. Johnston. Opportunity was taken by one of the students to express, on behalf of the students, their appreciation of the work done by the national executive and local executive. Mr. Milner paid special tribute to Mr. H. J. Thornton, secretary of the Nelson Education Board, the local organising secretary of the school, for his splendid services.
